Brave Singapore exists to inspire and to mobilise believers for God's mission and to strengthen the local Church across the nations.
"Here am I. Send me." Isaiah 6:8
We believe that lasting transformation happens when local believers are empowered to reach their own communities — Cambodians reaching Cambodians, Myanmar people reaching Myanmar people.
Our role is not to take over, but to come alongside. We support, train, equip and encourage local pastors, leaders and believers so that they can disciple others, raise up new leaders and reach their communities with the love and hope of Christ.
In Singapore, we create opportunities for believers to discover how God can use their gifts, skills and experiences for His purposes — through mission exposure trips, and ongoing training and equipping.
We don't want missions to end when the trip ends. Our mission exposure trips are an invitation to see, experience, encounter and respond — to see what God is doing, experience life and ministry alongside local believers, encounter God's heart for the nations, and prayerfully consider how we can continue to be part of His work.
Where possible, we encourage ongoing relationships between those who go and the people they meet — through prayer, mentoring, sharing of skills, encouragement and continued partnership.
A teacher can equip a teacher.
A doctor can mentor a medical student.
A businessperson can encourage a local entrepreneur.
A pastor can journey with another pastor.
We believe everyone has something God can use.
Our hope is not simply to send more people on mission trips, but to see disciples making disciples, leaders raising leaders, and local churches strengthened to reach their own communities and beyond. In this way, we seek to live out both the Great Commandment — to love God and love our neighbour — and the Great Commission — to go and make disciples of all nations.
