What began with a dream and one act of obedience has grown into a vibrant community reaching others with the love of Christ.
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." Luke 19:10
While we prioritise equipping pastors, leaders and activating disciples, we never want to forget that the Lord Jesus also loved and served the poor — the last, the lost and the least. Compassion and Gospel outreach into both urban and provincial impoverished communities will always be the foundation of what we do — to be doers and not just hearers of the Word of God, making the love of God, embodied in Christ, real and tangible to the most neglected, forgotten and broken amongst us.
Alongside the Learning Centre, our team also walks alongside families in the wider Chhuk community — through home visits, practical care, and building relationships that carry the love of Christ beyond the classroom and into everyday life.
There are more than 400 families located in this community, almost all of them relocated from across the city, when the land they were living and working on was sold for development. Many lose all sense of purpose and identity, uprooted from established communities and their places of work or source of income.
As we continue to serve the community 5 times a week, we believe that more will hear the Good News and find renewed life in Christ Jesus.
"What began with one act of obedience has grown into a vibrant community of believers gathering regularly to worship, grow in God's Word, and reach others with the love of Christ."
